The photo-micrograph shown are from one of ASB’s outside material test labs showing properties and characteristics from a test sample using the High Pressure Impact Innovations Cold Spray equipment for one of ASB Industries customer specific project. The notable properties include a relatively thick coating with high density and unusually high bond strength. Inco 625 corrosion resistant characteristics allow an interface layer to be applied to critical surfaces taking advantage of the Inco 625 corrosion resistant properties.
The Impact Innovations system is utilized by ASB Industries having flexible spray stream pressure capabilities to achieve wrought like characteristics without heat affected zones compared to welding. Large parts with varying substrates can be easily Cold Sprayed during manufacturing.
