The mill can operate at maximum efficiency by reducing maintenance of the seal ring and the roll journal. Shown are newly fabricated Retainer Rings and that can be inspected and refurbished to finished specification offering long term value. ASB Industries utilizes the Plasma Electric Arc Process to melt the ceramic and apply an approximately .015" finished thickness per side. This OEM application is a standard and well recognized application in a variety of industries. The as-sprayed Plasma Electric Arc coating was finish diamond ground to achieve the standard surface finish to mate correctly with the rubber seal. By keeping a tight seal, the excellent wear of the ceramic reduces contamination from dirt and high pressure lubrication from the mill environment.
