Dr. Reza Daroonparvar, Director of Research and Development, published works and technical contributions that support ASB Industries technical applications in research, development and component processing. Expertise includes thin and thick coatings technology including thermal spray coatings with emphasis on ASB Industries processes including Plasma Electric Arc, HVOF and Cold Spray processing for wear applications including high temperature components used in industry.
Dr. Daroonparvar has more than 10 years of academic and industrial experiences in the field of microstructural characterization, corrosion and oxidation behavior evaluation of different surface coatings. Dr. Daroonparvar has published articles in many reviewed journals and is recognized as an international reviewer by the Elsevier. Journals such as Corrosion Science, Applied Surface Science, Surface and Coating Technology and Alloys and Compounds where he has been recognized as an outstanding contributor as a reviewer.
Dr. Daroonparvar’s latest publication from Corrosion Science is Effects of Al2O3 Diffusion Barrier Layer (including Y-containing small oxide precipitates) and nanostructured YSZ top coat on the oxidation behavior of HVOF NiCoCrAlTaY/APS YSZ coatings at 1100 °C.
